It is Written
If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

About the BookIvy Adjivon wrote an article several years ago entitled “An Introduction to the Holy Spirit.” The article is a true story about her personal experience with the Holy Spirit while on a journey. It is a beautiful story of how God miraculously saved her while the devil tried to kill her. The article, now the book, Ignited By The Holy Spirit, speaks of how encounters with the Holy Spirit are very possible, for the Holy Spirit moves mightily in individual lives, and longs to move in our own. The hope is that many will come to know Him for themselves, for He is a Guide, Comforter, Helper, Teacher, and so much more.
A Word From the Author: I remember, or I was once told that the Holy Spirit is a force. But over time, I came to discover that He is not a force, but a tangible Person. The invisible Jesus who is always by our side to comfort, to guide, and to teach. He offers inexplicable supernatural experiences far beyound human comprehension. He is able to give us peace that surpasses understanding while yet we may be going through insufferable situations. Coming to know Him, and learning to fellowship with Him is the best gift we can ever give ourselves. It is my great hope, precious reader, that as you read this book, and apply the knowledge it offers, that the Holy Spirit will extend your ability to achieve beyound the human aptitude.
It was in the cool of the evening, I inhaled the fresh scent of autum yet to come. Each breath was life. Aloha. For a moment, life was good. Ignited By The Holy Spirit teaches us how to have a life more joyous, more fulfilled, than isolated moments. It calls us to walk closer to our Creator, our Father, our Friend. A prayer of thanks: I feel like I can depend on you, Holy Spirit. You have always been there for me. When you are around, things go right; though things may not be easy. Holy Spirit you are God and I respect that. You are so cool and I like you. I know that I must include you in everything that I do. I know that I need you just to go in the right direction. Holy Spirit I feel like I am more put together when you are around. Thank you.
I didn’t really know that the Holy Spirit was all that serious. I know He is the one aspect of the Trinity that if you blaspheme, there is no forgivness. I know Jesus said I will not leave you comfortless, but honestly, I didn’t really feel the Holy Spirit did all that much. Foolishly, I kind of thought that if only Jesus was here on Earth, He could fix my problems. I’d call Him for some tangible advice. Little did I know, that I knew nothing at all. God who is here on Earth, I ignored. How can I explain that? He is here! Why did I ignore that? He is the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead—why didn’t I know that He could turn failure, shame, disappointment and all the rest of the dead things in my life into a restorative and beautiful story? You know, I kind of love Ignited. It introduced me to the God that’s always been there to help, but never really had my permission to move in my life. My goodness, God is real!
People talk about God the Father, and about Jesus Christ, but not a lot of people talk about the Holy Spirit. The reason-- we don't know Him! Ignited By The Holy Spirit is an eye opener. You can experience God daily, His Holy Spirit is real. He is there to help you from the moment you wake up, to the time you go to bed, and even while you are asleep. If you focus on Him, as the good book says, He will lead you in the way you should go. (In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6). Ignited By The Holy Spirit helped me to become more aware of Him, knowing that I can relate to Him each day. It helped me to start developing a closer relationship with Him. If you just met a wonderful person, wouldn’t you put in the time to get to know him or her? Wouldn’t you spend time with the person? Do so with the Holy Spirit. He is the friend that will not disappoint!
